Nowadays, it’s difficult not to feel the desire to do more. We jump from task to task, meeting to meeting, dinner to dinner, trying to fill up our days in fear of not doing enough. At times, we don’t even know why we do this, it feels as though it’s the way we are. But when we step out of the chaos and create space to feel more present and compassionate with ourselves and the world around us, we notice that this is merely a story we’ve been told, and attach ourselves to — it’s not a way of being.

Join renowned meditation and yoga teacher, Manoj Dias for A—SPACE’s first ‘Journey to Being’ retreat for an opportunity to create this space for yourself. Through daily discourses and meditation, yoga, breath-work and nidra classes, you’ll explore how stillness and self-inquiry can support you in discovering who you truly are and move beyond the material to a place you’ve always longed to return to: yourself.

Manoj Dias is an animated speaker, humble teacher and always a friend. He knows that Mindfulness, Buddhism and Vedanta are too vast and wise for any single person to own. Once tethered to a life of self-management, rather than self-awareness, Manoj has been transformed by every breath of this practice, knowing that awareness leads to healing, from the inside, out. Through mindfulness and meditation, he’s helped thousands of people trade mania for pause, so that they may live fearlessly in honour of a happier and more meaningful life.

As co-founder of A—SPACE – Australia’s first multidisciplinary meditation studio – he walks this truth en-masse with a family of one mind. Whether he’s teaching through words or the silence in between them, Manoj’s great love for ancient wisdom and contemporary science is present in every encounter. Sometimes humorous, always compassionate and forever a student, Manoj is a warm, empathic and spirited character who connects with beings of every kind.




Your home for the week will be Samanvaya, a small and intimate boutique resort, nestled perfectly on the sweeping rice terraces of the Sidemen Valley on the tropical island of Bali. The word Samanvaya comes from the ancient Hindu language of Sanskrit and translated, means ‘Harmony’, a perfect interpretation of the resort's stunning location and ethos.

Sidemen represents the true Bali that most people still dream about, the Bali of years gone by. Here, a strong cultural identity and religious beliefs are retained and are reflected throughout the traditional Balinese communities of the Sidemen Valley.

Cancellation policy

Any cancellations prior to 31 May 2018 - $500 non-refundable deposit;  

Cancellations from 1 June 2018 - 30 June 2018 - 50% refund of total retreat price.

No refunds for any cancellations post 30 June 2018.


Travel Insurance

All participants must have adequate travel insurance which covers all adventure sport activities, medical emergencies, lost baggage, baggage or flight delay and trip cancellation.
